Baxter enjoys creating bouquets from her garden and bringing to life the luminous and delicate portraits. Her landscapes of her travels show the heart and souls of the places she has been to.
Her home now is in Mid-Coast Maine. She arrived on her Schooner Memory from the West Indies, she made her home port in Bequia, which is in the Island Group of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He art medium was textiles, where she found colorful Trinidadian cotton prints and made Men’s and Women’s sportswear for sale throughout the Caribbean.
When she came to Maine she started designing children’s clothing for boutique clothing stores, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, and many children’s. She was awarded 2 Tommy awards by the American Print Council, and A Ernie awareed by Ernshaw’s Magazine.
